Energy hub, Amiens

The Energy HUB, which focuses on energy conversion and storage materials, is an international place of mixed culture with 24 nationalities from over the world.

It comprises the Laboratoire de Réactivité et de Chimie des Solides (LRCS), set up in 1968 as a Unité Mixte de Recherche UMR7314 financed by the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and the Université de Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV).

CNRS and UPJV researchers and lecturers are specialists in materials synthesis, electrochemistry, organic chemistry, formulation and multi-scale modeling.

The LRCS is structured around 5 scientific themes : Synthesis, Surfaces, Interfaces, Organic, Hybrid and Polymeric Materials for Energy, Photoelectrochemistry and Photovoltaic Devices, Electrochemistry and Optimization of Energy Storage Devices, Crystalline Chemistry of New Inorganic Materials for Energy Storage and two cross-cutting themes : Modeling from materials to systems and development of new in situ characterization techniques.
